ISP Visits Lignano, Italia

This summer ISP sent students to MB Scambi’s international summer camp in Lignano, Italy at the Villaggio Adriatico (near Venice). Here’s an excerpt from one student’s journal:

The drive to camp was nice. I met lots of people from different places such as Guam, Greece, Italy, and Russia. My cub scout friend currently living overseas also came and shared a room with me. Our roommates were from Italy. Our dormitory was called Villa Verde, but it wasn’t green :) Camp is huge with a private beach and a cool pool, Acqua Gio. We made excursions into town where I got to buy yummy gelato and a pair of new shades (sunglasses).

We got to visit a cave with prehistoric bear fossils. In the mornings, after breakfast, I had Italian lessons (my roommates studied English instead). In the afternoon we had choices between arts and crafts, tennis, or ‘football’ (aka soccer). Of course I chose soccer! The week went by quickly and I learned italiano. Next year I want to go for at least 2-3 weeks!!
Ciao–below are some photos from my trip (camp as well as nearby Venice).

    Hi,

We were looking for a place outside of the U.S. for our son next summer, this camp seems to be the perfect place for our 10 year old!!
